Kirsten
Hi lovelies! I’m Kirsten, the creator (and the unhinged mind behind) of Amplified Cosmetica.
AC began when I was living in Australia 9 years ago, as a page for freelance makeup artistry while working at Mecca. I had always hoped it would grow into something bigger!
I have been a qualified beauty therapist for 14 years, a makeup artist for 11 years and began specialising in skin health 8 years ago.
I am a self-confessed skin nerd, obsessed with timeless makeup looks and curating the best brows for you.

I have managed larger clinics, worked backstage on fashion shows, and have been very lucky to be a part of the award-winning hair and makeup team behind the best musicals to hit Dunedin.
I cannot wait for you to experience what we're all about and tuck you into our beauty bed!

Hello beautiful souls! I’m Bianca and I’ve been working in the beauty industry for 7 years and specialising in Skin and Brows at AC for 3 and a half years.
I am so proud to be apart of the Amplified Cosmetica team and be specialising in my favourite areas - skin health, brows and lash lifts!
It is such a privilege to be part of each clients journey. Whether that be to fuller, fluffier brows, lashes that are curled up to the heavens or to clearer, healthier skin. I love being able to build trust with my clients and provide a safe space to support them through whatever challenges they are facing - giving practical and honest advice!

Hello, I'm Alyssa!

I have been apart of the AC team for over 2 years!
I have had a passion for makeup and beauty since high school, so much so that I started studying my makeup course whilst finishing NCEA level 3.
I am originally from Auckland, and for many years freelanced alongside my full-time job. I worked with many wonderful people and artists throughout the years, doing everything from fashion shows to formals, bridal, photoshoots and even special effects.
I am currently finishing my final year of Midwifery to begin my official caseload in 2026!

Hello! I’m Connie and I am the first Junior Therapist here at AC!
I completed my certificate and diploma here in Dunedin at the Otago Polytechnic last year and have been at AC for a year. I chose to study beauty therapy because I am passionate about creating positive experiences that nurture both physical and mental well-being, helping others feel their best inside and out.
I have been through my own journey with acne and want to support others through their own skin concerns!

I have been a long term client in studio before joining the team! I’m thrilled to be part of the talented team here at AC and am eager to grow my skills through ongoing learning and development.

the ac fan club
Our loyalty system works a little differently! And for good reason.
As we are always working to decrease the impact our studio has on the environment, we have introduced ‘The AC Fan Club’.

So what does this mean?
Well! Any product purchased from our studio, you bring it back!
Once you’ve collected 10 empties, bring them in studio for 10% off a product.If you want to hold out, bring back 20 empties and snap up a Skin Club box filled with goodies to the value of $250!

What happens to the empties?
Thank you for asking! We are teamed with TerraCycleTM, so every empty container gets sent back to them to be recycled. Standard curbside recycling cannot process these containers, so this is our way to reduce our impact in a very wasteful environment.
